Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President
Steve Goodman leads Hitachi Consulting’s global legal group and serves as principal legal advisor to its executive leadership. In this capacity, Steve oversees the legal, risk management and corporate governance aspects of the company’s business. He also serves as corporate secretary to the board of directors.
Prior to joining Hitachi Consulting, Steve was Senior Counsel at Grant Thornton LLP, responsible primarily for the legal affairs of Grant Thornton’s consulting unit. When that unit was sold to Hitachi, resulting in the formation of Hitachi Consulting, Steve became its General Counsel.
Earlier in his career, Steve was a partner at the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig in Miami, Florida. At Greenberg Traurig, Steve’s varied practice included litigation, employment law, corporate transactions, intellectual property, and communications law. Steve joined Greenberg Traurig following a stint practicing communications law in the Washington, D.C. office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.
Steve graduated with high honors from The George Washington University Law School and with honors from the University of Chicago. Between college and law school, Steve worked for two years as a consultant for the Management Information Consulting division of Arthur Andersen, which later became Andersen Consulting and subsequently Accenture.
