Stephen Brant

Executive Vice President, U.S. Market Development and Strategy

Stephen Brant is the executive vice president for Hitachi Consulting's Market Development and Strategy groups. He also oversees Marketing, Mergers and Acquisitions and Intellectual Property development.

As the former Consumer Products leader, he oversaw the strategic direction and go-to-market activities of the national practices that make up the company's products industry, including consumer, high tech and industrial manufacturing. He also directly managed the consumer products national team and consulting practice. Brant specializes in consumer driven industries, with special expertise in revenue management, supply chain responsiveness, and strategy execution. His career spans more than 30 years helping companies in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and SE Asia to implement change for high performance and competitive advantage.

Prior to joining Hitachi Consulting, Brant served as CIO and executive vice president on a management team that specialized in turn-around projects for an international manufacturing and distribution business. Before that, he was president of a strategy and strategic projects boutique consultancy, a managing partner for Andersen Business Consulting, and a managing partner for Andersen Consulting (Accenture). He had both P&L and revenue based responsibilities in these roles. While at Andersen Consulting, Brant led the worldwide food and packaged goods manufacturing industry segment for which his team developed a number of go-to-market programs, and co-authored an early version of the "Efficient Consumer Response Model."

Brant received a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Purdue University. He and his family live in Boulder, Colorado.
