Douglas Allen

Managing Vice President

Douglas Allen is managing vice president for U.S. Managed Solutions, including Managed Services, AMO, and Offshore Development. He previously was responsible for business development, strategic account development, and managing the delivery team in the Gulf Coast and Southeast regions of the United States, and was practice leader for Oracle applications.

Allen has a strong background in IT strategic planning, systems integration and business process reengineering. Prior to joining Hitachi Consulting, he was CIO at a billion dollar public transportation company. He led the company through the systems integration of more than 60 acquisitions and the deployment of Oracle Applications and other third party systems. He was also CIO of an Internet infrastructure company, which he led through the integration of five acquisitions and the implementation and deployment of Oracle E-Business Suite. He has worked with numerous manufacturers and distributors during that last 10 years, mainly overseeing enterprise-wide process and IT system implementation initiatives.

Allen graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting from Washington State University.
