Barry D. Honea
Chief Financial Officer
Barry Honea is the chief financial officer for Hitachi Consulting. He oversees the global support services functions of the company including Finance and Accounting, Information Technology. Barry is also responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
He has more than twenty years experience working with companies in the services and technology sectors, and joined Hitachi Consulting in early 2004.
Prior to joining the Company, Barry served as the chief financial officer of a staffing and solutions company in the Dallas area. Honea has also served as chief financial officer of a diversified holding company where during most of his five years there he served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of one of the subsidiaries in the telecommunication services and software industry.
From 1987 to 1997, Honea worked in the audit and business advisory division of Arthur Andersen. He served as lead manager of the Dallas high tech practice, working primarily with software and services companies. Additionally he worked in the services, manufacturing and healthcare industries. His experience includes assisting public and private companies with financing strategies, initial and secondary public offerings, and establishing best business practices.
Barry received a bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of various professional organizations including the Financial Executives Institute.
